The Estates at Donath Lake is a first-of-its-kind community focused on sustainability and connection to the rural history of the land. This quaint development offers 13 estate lots across 36 acres. The community is nestled along the north edge of Donath Lake, just outside the southern city limits of Fort Collins. This progressive community will be the country’s first single-family community of 100% Passive House Certified homes.

Each of our homes is designed by our in-house design team in close collaboration with our craftsman and construction teams. THE FIRST OF ITS KIND FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY
The Estates at Donath Lake is the country’s first single-family community comprised of Passive House certified homes. Passive House is a set of highly efficient energy building standards. The construction concepts focus on improving indoor air quality and thermal comfort resulting in an almost 90% reduction of overall energy consumption of the home.
Design Integrity:
- Unlike much of the architecture that is often associated with energy-forward homes, our focus is to deliver generational homes in any architectural aesthetic that meets energy goals while not sacrificing design.
Comfort and Efficiency:
- With the implementation of solar panels, our homes can easily achieve net zero or net positive electric consumption.
- Passive homes integrate ventilation and insulation systems that supply continuous fresh air, making for superior interior air quality.
- Thorough internal heating and cooling techniques and insulation create the highest level of comfort within each home. There is little to no variance in indoor thermal air temperatures throughout the house.
- Our Passive communities focus on innovative water conservation for individual lots as well as communal community areas.
